The new injection molded design has a non-slip push top to speed up loading. It is shorter and 30% lighter than the original classic design and  weighs only 0.6 oz. The bottom of the speed loader is recessed to go around the cylinder ratchet. The shorter design offers increased clearance to the grips when loading and the recessed bottom allows the loader to get flush with the cylinder.
